COMMUNITY EVENTS

We enable communities, through our intercultural community events and our Wideshot Programme, which gives young people from ethnically diverse backgrounds the skills to tell their own stories, by working with film facilitators and practitioners. We get sponsorship and grant funding to support these communities to use their voice through creative media and provide access for such communities to enter the industry.

THE WIDESHOT PROGRAMME

The Wideshot Programme by GORM is a series of workshops, education, training and events on digital storytelling, creative media and multimedia skills for young people aged 18-25 in Ireland. Supported by the YPCE Project Award 2023 by the Arts Council of Ireland, this programme is aimed at youth from ethnic minorities and underrepresented groups. This new programme aims to connect young people and recent graduates interested in creative media with established Film & TV practitioners and creative media professionals in Ireland by way of interactive workshops throughout the year.
