Leticia Scheidt

Social and Cultural Psychologist

Leticia Scheidt is a Clinical and Social Psychologist with 15 years of experience. She spent eight years as a Psychologist at the Federal University of Latin American Integration (UNILA) in Brazil, working in a diverse, intercultural setting. In Ireland, Leticia has contributed to various academic and community projects. She served as an Administrative and Student Support Officer for the Global-MINDS Erasmus Mundus Master, as well as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the University of Limerick. She has also supported Latin American migrants through West Limerick Resources and the Latin America Solidarity Centre.

Actively engaged in research, she leads the Latino-European Social Psychological Research Network (La-EU-MiDI), funded by the European Association of Social Psychology (EASP), focusing on Migration, Displacement, and Inclusion. Currently, Leticia is a fourth-year PhD candidate in Psychology at the University of Limerick, researching social inclusion in higher education. Her work explores university structures and strategies that foster inclusive environments for non-traditional students, including ethnic minorities, refugees, and students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. With a strong background in academia, psychological research, and community engagement, Leticia is dedicated to advancing social inclusion and intercultural understanding in education and society.
