Ogoro’s journey as a social entrepreneur has been marked by numerous accolades and accomplishments, such as the Changing Ireland Accelerator by Social Entrepreneurs Ireland in 2023, the Tech and Digital Award in the eir Power of Women Awards 2023, being listed in the Irish Independent’s 30 under 30 entrepreneurs of 2024 and she was recently appointed as Newstalk's youngest ever presenter, with her show 'Younified'. As the first Sanctuary PhD Fellow at the University of Limerick, Ogoro was guided by her PhD research in migrant identity construction and belonging in Ireland, and as a result of the research, GORM was created.
Ogoro's words on the fellowship: “Never in a million years did I think that starting an online community project in my room during COVID would land me on such a global stage. And now with this investment from Echoing Green, I will not only be levelling up my leadership capabilities, but it will allow us at GORM to focus our efforts in delivering our digital services to more unified businesses.”
Ogoro’s recognition as the first Irish fellow in this global competition is a testament to the growth of social innovation and social entrepreneurship in the Irish business landscape. Her visionary leadership and tireless advocacy for social change highlight Ireland's expanding role in social innovation globally. As GORM's mission is to unify across differences, they encourage unifiers across Ireland to be a part of their movement, and build an Ireland where everyone belongs!
