We're thrilled to announce a momentous achievement for GORM and our CEO, Mamobo Ogoro. On November 17, 2023, Mamobo was honoured with the prestigious Tech and Digital Award at the eir VIP Publishing Power of Women 2023.
About the Event:
Dublin's Anantara The Marker hotel played host to the eir VIP Publishing Power of Women Awards. It was a day of celebration, where exceptional female entrepreneurs across various sectors were acknowledged for their remarkable achievements. The event, sponsored by eir and supported by various prominent brands such as Lindt, Dr. Hauschka, and Boots, brought together nominees for an exclusive lunch. An expert panel carefully deliberated to select the winners, who would be featured in the December issue of VIP magazine.
In a highly competitive field, our Founder and CEO, Mamobo won in the Digital & Tech award category, sponsored by eir. This recognition not only reflects the contributions of Mamobo, but also underscores the social impact GORM is making in the digital storytelling arena.
GORM's Vision and Impact:
At GORM, we are driven by a powerful vision – to spark a movement of unity and shared understanding. Our three pillars, Elevate Voices, Enable Communities, and Equipping Leaders, guide us in creating a positive impact through digital storytelling.
Elevating Voices:
GORM is not just a digital media platform; it's a community-driven initiative. We collaborate with diverse communities to tell their stories digitally, fostering understanding and connection. As one of Ireland's few migrant-led media agencies, we take pride in our unique perspective and the meaningful content we create.
Enabling Communities:
Our commitment to enabling communities is evident through initiatives like the Wideshot Programme. By empowering young individuals from ethnically diverse backgrounds to share their narratives, we are bridging gaps and providing access to the media industry. Sponsorship and grant funding support these community-driven endeavors.
Equipping Leaders:
GORM goes beyond content creation by offering intercultural training programs. These programs equip leaders with the skills needed to engage effectively across differences, promoting positive change both in industries and societies.
In Mamobo's heartfelt statement, she said:
“Never in a million years did I think this was going to be my life… I am the result of so many poweful women (and men) and as a first time start-up founder, I don’t know where I would be without their continuous endorsement, mentorship, sponsorship and support in the impact we are making at GORM”
